Tiny Agent — March 2026
Tiny Agent is an AI assistant for the web. It includes a web dashboard (where you manage settings and extension API keys) and an optional Chrome extension that adds an in-page assistant on sites you visit. This policy describes how information is handled when you use Tiny Agent. If you use a self-hosted or custom deployment, your operator may apply additional policies.
Sign-in for the dashboard is provided by Clerk. Clerk processes credentials and profile basics (such as email and name) according to its own terms. For details, see Clerk's Privacy Policy. We use that information to identify your account and provide access to dashboard features (including chats and extension API key management).
The extension connects to the Tiny Agent backend you configure (by default the app at tinyagent.sh, unless you change the App URL). It needs permissions such as access to the active tab, storage, scripting, tabs, and broad host access so it can show the assistant on pages you use and send requests from the extension background worker (avoiding normal page CORS limits).
What can be sent to Tiny Agent when you use the in-page assistant includes, as relevant to a request: the page title, URL, text you select, a visible text snapshot of the page, and an optional chat identifier to continue a conversation on the same tab. Your messages and model choices are processed through our service (and any AI provider you select where applicable) to generate replies.
Stored on your device: the extension can store settings locally (for example your configured App URL, extension API key, and provider or model preferences) using browser storage. Treat your API key like a password and do not share it.
When you choose an AI model or provider in Tiny Agent, your prompts and related context may be sent to that provider under their terms. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing. We use service providers (such as Clerk and hosting or AI vendors) as needed to run the product.
We take reasonable steps to protect data in line with how the service is built. Retention depends on features in use (for example chat history in the dashboard). Do not submit highly sensitive secrets into prompts or pages you analyze if your risk tolerance does not allow it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. For requests related to Tiny Agent, contact us through the information published on tinyagent.sh or, for self-hosted deployments, your administrator.
